Climate

 
Sydney's climate is subtropical, with average maximum temperatures ranging from 16 degrees Celsius in winter to 26 degrees in summer. Average relative humidity varies from 60% to 71%. Sydney does not suffer the harsher winters of London, New York, Tokyo and Beijing, and benefits from more comfortable summer temperatures and humidity than Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Hong Kong and Bangkok.

The seasons in New South Wales are generally defined as: spring from September through to November, summer from December to February, autumn from March to May and winter from June to August.
