The division advises the Government on creating policies to provide a cost-effective and friendly business climate for all types of enterprises in NSW.

It provides information to industry and government on the State's economic performance and its competitive strengths as a global investment location in the Asia Pacific.

In addition the Policy and Resources Division informs the Government about the economic impact of major investment projects and supports other DSRD divisions with economic advice and investment analysis.
