Digital Economy

A Digital Economy Industry Action Plan is being developed that will outline a vision and strategy for the Digital Economy over the next decade in NSW. The Plan, while supporting the overall competitiveness of the sector, will have a particular focus on:

  • Digital content and applications
  • Information services and analytics
  • Smart networks and intelligent technologies
  • Autonomous systems
  • E-research
  • ICT service innovation
  • ICT biomedical innovation
  • ICT safety and security innovation
  • Locally developed technologies and applications

The Plan will set out actions for both industry and government to encourage industry growth, productivity and innovation, and export performance. The NSW Government has appointed an Industry Taskforce to develop the Plan based on Terms of Reference.

An online forum has been held and comments can be viewed through the NSW Government's Have Your Say website.

Industry Consultation Forums have now ended for both metropolitan and regional areas.
