NSW Jobs Summit

Investing in a better future

The NSW Government's Jobs Summit in February brought together more than 300 business and community leaders who contributed their ideas on how the Government can work with key industries to ensure the State's economy remains resilient through the current global economic uncertainty.

Premier Nathan Rees has announced the Government's response to the Jobs Summit which includes a number of major initiatives to work with business and the community to drive investment in infrastructure and create jobs.

Following the recent Illawarra Jobs Summit and Hunter Jobs Summit, the Premier announced significant funding packages to support jobs in the Illawarra and the Hunter regions.

Industry Go To People

As part of the NSW Government’s response to the Jobs Summit, held in February, Premier Nathan Rees has nominated ‘go to’ people to assist in expediting suitable projects. The focus is on projects that are ‘ready to go’ and will directly deliver jobs and/or economic efficiencies within six months.

To be ‘ready’ a project must have a proven business case, with access to finance and job creation potential.

The aim is to minimise delays and roadblocks to allow industry to focus on jobs and creating employment.  Contact the appropriate person below to discuss the potential of your project.
