We organise high level visits, trade missions, market visits and participation in international trade exhibitions to high potential and emerging markets.

New South Wales Government Mission to Italy
Tuesday 30 September to Tuesday 7 October 2008

New South Wales (NSW) and Italy have a long-standing association underpinned by strong community ties. Opportunities exist to significantly strengthen the business relationship between our State and Italy.

The Sydney Symphony will be touring Italy later this year, the first time in its 75 year history that the orchestra has visited the country.  The tour is the culmination of the five year term of maestro Gianluigi Gelmetti as principal conductor with the orchestra.
 
Coinciding with the tour, the NSW Minister for State Development, Mr Ian Macdonald, will lead a business mission to strengthen commercial networks, explore strategic opportunities and promote greater trade and investment between NSW and Italy. 
 
The NSW Department of State and Regional Development invites businesses to join the NSW Government and the Sydney Symphony in this high profile program to promote the relationship between NSW and Italy.  Participation can be on two levels: taking part in the business events, or sponsorship of the Sydney Symphony's Italian tour.
 
Organisations that invest in the mission will have the opportunity to take part in high level briefings and networking events with Italian business, cultural and government leaders and to enjoy the orchestra's performances in some of Italy's leading concert halls.
 
The program includes business events in Milan, Turin, Naples, Rome and Modena between 30 September and 7 October 2008. 
 
In conjunction with the Sydney Symphony, this mission will be managed by the NSW Department of State and Regional Development.
