Eureka Prizes
The Australian Museum Eureka Prizes aim to promote and reward outstanding science.
NSW Trade & Investment recognises the importance of high quality teaching and the crucial role that maths and science teachers play in encouraging young people to take up a career in the sciences and technology.
The Department sponsors the Eureka Prize for Science or Mathematics Teaching which is awarded to a secondary school science or mathematics teacher who has inspired students and the school community to get involved in science or maths.
The 2011 winners were announced on 6 September. For more information see www.eureka.australianmuseum.net.au
