New concrete plant cements eight new jobs in Tamworth

The NSW Government is supporting BJB Concrete Pty Ltd, trading as REDiMIX Concrete, is to establish a state-of-the-art batching facility in Tamworth.

The company is investing more than $2.6 million to establish the new facility and the investment is expected to create eight new jobs in Tamworth.

The company’s new plant will have the capacity to produce 120 cubic metres of concrete per hour and the ability to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, depending on demand.

REDiMIX Concrete is introducing new technology and water saving measures at the plant.

The new facility will reduce water wastage through its recycling system and increase efficiency by using new computer controlled batching technology.

This in turn will help the business to be sustainable and supports the need to conserve and use water more efficiently.

REDiMIX Concrete is being assisted by the Department of State and Regional Development by the Regional Business Development Scheme which encourages regional growth by assisting eligible firms from domestic and offshore locations expand in, or relocate to regional NSW.
