A family event to help businesses affected by drought is to be piloted in the Murray region town of Deniliquin on Friday, 22 February. The event will be held at Waring Gardens in Deniliquin from 6pm and will include a family movie, with catering to be provided by Deniliquin Rotary Club.
The gathering will be an opportunity for business owners to access information on the support available for their businesses. The Department of State and Regional Development is holding this event as part of its Business Drought Assistance Program. Representatives from DSRD, the Department of Primary Industries, Centrelink and Deniliquin Council will be available at the gathering to answer questions and provide advice.
Depending on the success of the pilot, the NSW Government may extend this event to other drought-affected areas in the Riverina, Murray and Western NSW.
