More than 70 NSW regional boutique wines from 39 wine producers and two boutique beers were showcased to 17 restaurant and retail buyers on DSRD's inaugural Boutique Beer and Wine Tour from 21-23 May 2008.

The wineries and breweries from the Hunter and Riverina invited to present their products on the tour were selected for their ability to sustain consumer interest. They can also be clearly associated with their region and the variety or style of beer or wine they produce.

The tour is part of DSRD's work to develop the State's beer and wine industry and reflects changing trends in the market. For more information on NSW's wine industry, click here.

On the tour, the buyers from the restaurant, hotel, and wine retailer and distributor sectors attended special tasting events and met the wine and beer producers to discuss distribution and sales opportunities.
