Peel Valley Exporters in Tamworth is investing $9.3 million in expanding its operations and doubling its current workforce. The Department of State and Regional Development is supporting this expansion which is expected to create more than 200 jobs in Tamworth.

The company will create jobs for people with little previous experience in meat processing and provide on-the-job training and skills development for new employees. The expansion of its existing facilities will establish a new by-product function of the business to support an increase in the capacity of the abattoir. A second shift will also be introduced to increase productivity.
