Innovation Scaleup Fund
NSW Government is allocating $11 million to support businesses, universities, and innovative districts to commercialise research and development (R&D) that helps address the health and economic impacts of COVID-19 on the people of NSW.
The Innovation Scaleup Fund is delivered through three programs:
- Innovation Districts Challenges
The Innovation Districts Challenges are designed to accelerate the commercialisation of research products that address the impacts of COVID-19 by businesses in partnership with universities and CSIRO in NSW. Challenge themes align with the NSW Government ‘Respond, Recover and Reform’ approach to COVID-19. The total funding pool available for each Challenge round is $500,000.
- COVID-19 TechVouchers
The COVID-19 TechVoucher program provides support funding for technology-rich startups, scaleups or small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to collaborate with Publicly Funded Research Organisations (PFROs) to accelerate the commercialisation of innovative R&D products and services that address the many disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
- R&D Fund
The R&D Fund is a $6 million single-round competitive scheme to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and scaleups to stimulate the development and commercialisation of innovative products that benefit the people of NSW, with possible nationwide and global impact.
