NSW Skilled Occupation Lists

The NSW Skilled Occupation Lists are developed through extensive industry consultation and evidence-based research, to help NSW meet the skills needs of our economy across a range of industry sectors.

The NSW Skilled Occupation Lists are generally reviewed at the beginning of each new financial year.

Skilled Nominated (Provisional) visa (subclass 190)

NSW only invites candidates to apply for nomination in occupations that appear on the NSW 190 Priority Skilled Occupation List.

In the 2019-20 financial year we have introduced a system to indicate the availability of occupations. This system provides an indication of the remaining places available for each occupation only. It in no way provides information about whether you will be invited to apply for NSW nomination.

To see if you’re eligible to apply for NSW nomination under the subclass 190 visa, and for information about NSW selection, please read our Skilled Nominated (Provisional) visa (subclass 190) page.

Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491)

NSW only invites candidates to apply for nomination in occupations that appear on the NSW 491 Priority Skilled Occupation List.

For information about eligibility, and how to apply for NSW nomination, please read our Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) page.
