Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491)
2020-21 Financial Year Update
NSW Government has been provided a limited number of interim nomination places for the 2020–21 financial year.
These places will be filled by applications held on-hand from the 2019-20 financial year, who have:
- maintained their eligibility, specifically regional NSW residency, and
- whose occupations are in health, ICT and engineering occupations, in line with direction from Home Affairs.
NSW is not accepting new applications at this time. We cannot provide a time frame when applications will open by phone or email.
For further information about NSW nomination, including our eligibility requirements, please read our Frequently Asked Questions.
Alternative migration options
NSW nomination for the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) is just one of a number of visa options for prospective skilled migrants. There is a range of visas offered by Home Affairs, including both temporary and permanent employer nominated visas.
You may also wish to seek advice from a registered migration agent. A list of registered migration agents is available on the Migration Agents Registration Authority website.
