The NSW Economic Development Framework 2014 priorities
The NSW Government has released its 2014 priorities to support industry growth under the NSW Economic Development Framework.
34 actions have been prioritised for delivery with industry in 2014. They include:
- multi-year initiatives already underway; and
- targeted actions for key NSW industry sectors, Regional NSW and Western Sydney.
The NSW Government worked closely with industry and other interested stakeholders to identify priority actions for 2014. These actions have been selected based on their:
- Importance and relevance for industry;
- Degree of industry partnership and collaboration; and
- Potential to deliver outcomes for key NSW industry sectors.

A seventh plan for the Agriculture sector is in development and will be released in 2014.
The NSW Government's response [PDF] to Industry Action Plans for the Digital Economy, International Education and Research, Manufacturing, Professional Services and the Visitor Economy (released December 2012) outlined a number of objectives for Government and industry action to help position NSW for long-term global competitiveness.
Additional objectives for the Creative Industries were announced by the Government in June 2013, through release of the Creative Industries Action Plan [PDF], the NSW Government's Response [PDF] and A Platform for Growth: The NSW Creative Industries.
The Progressing the NSW Economic Development Framework report (PDF) outlines the strong progress that was made in 2013 across all 2013 priority actions.
