Regional Development Australia NSW

Regional Development Australia – NSW is a network of 14 committees tasked with providing input to government about regional issues that impact on economic development, especially jobs, environmental solutions and social inclusion strategies.

The Regional Development Australia (RDA) network will enable improved communication between the people of NSW and all levels of government. RDA replaces the Australian Government's Area Consultative Committees and the NSW Government's Regional Development Boards which focused on economic development. RDA will have a broader, more strategic role to facilitate effective engagement between government and regional communities, and responsiveness to local needs.

They also co-ordinate regional planning activities and develop local partnerships for the benefit of their region.

The Chairs of each committee form the Regional Development Advisory Council. The Council meets four times each year.
